“A while ago I was reading Lezioni Americane (Six Memos for the Next Millennium) the book written by Italo Calvino based on a series of lectures he held at Harvard. He talked about lightness in opposition to the weight, he explained he privileged lightness, he was removing weight from people, from cities…. Calvino adds, ‘I look to science to nourish my visions in which all heaviness disappears’, I have been thinking for years to this concept and finally conceived Chill-out System” says Guillaumier by way of introduction to his new furniture system.

Chill-Out is a modular furniture system composed of sofas, armchairs, ottomans and small tables with thin and elegant proportions that express lightness in a light metallic base supporting simple and comfortable volumes. Chill-Out will be presented at the upcoming 2013 Milan International Furniture Fair.
